Baldwin & Sours, Inc.

Baldwin & Sours, Inc  was incorporated in Ohio in June 1984 to distribute traffic signal system equipment and highway safety protection devices. Located in Columbus, Ohio the Company serves customers in Ohio and Kentucky.  The Company has 12 associates with combined experience of over 150 years and occupies two facilities with combined warehouse, office, lab, and classroom space of 14,000 square feet. The Company is privately held by Thomas Steven Sours and Thomas J. Sours and has experienced a consistent steady revenue growth.

The Company evolved from a Partnership formed as Taylor and Baldwin in 1928 to distribute highway equipment and materials. With the addition of Hal G. Sours, the Partnership was reorganized in 1945 as Baldwin & Sours. The Partnership represented American Steel Dredge Co. (cranes), Seaman Mixer (roadbed preparation), Municipal Supply Co. (roadway sweepers and asphalt spreaders),  International Salt Co. (road de-icing salt), Ohio Oil Co. (asphalt), Armco (asphalt), and Automatic Signal Co. (traffic actuated signal controllers).

The Company is now focused on delivering technical solutions to enhance traffic management and highway safety with  products and value added services from  Siemens ITS. , 3M Intelligent Transportation, Energy Absorption, Myers Power Products, GELcore,  Eberle Design, Electrotechnics Corp., ITERIS, Pelco Products,  Athens Technical Specialists, Inc., National Sign and Signal Co., Polara Engineering, and Traffic Sensor Corp.

Our association with Siemens (formerly Eagle Signal and Automatic Signal) has been ongoing for over 50 years. Our association with Energy Absorption Inc has been on going for over 25 years.
